That was a very interesting read guys, As a design student and having done freelance work in the past most people don't realise the time pressures involved in putting together something like this. Fair play is all i can say! to turn something around of this quality in no time at all is a credit to all involved.

"Does Music Need Design Anymore?"
My answer for this is YES because the CD/DVD cover catches also the attention of the buyer.

Outstanding articulation of the process behind creating a new visual identity for a band that had overhauled their sonic, stage and personal identities. I'm both a U2 fan and a graphic designer-turned-professor — I don't know which part of me is more excited to read about the consideration of imagery, the choice of typography (love that an iteration of the U2 logo makes an appearance in the 'Helvetica' documentary), the iconography, the manual paste-up, the last-minute changes ... But the most exciting part is seeing what wasn't: the early drafts of the sleeve. I have the unfair perspective of someone who's spent 20 years falling in love with this album, but you absolutely nailed it. (Though I am enamored with the third draft — the one after the nipple.) Thank you for sharing all of this with us.

I certainly agree with you. If a business stays on top of its game with the right budget and a perfect output then certainly you get what you paid for. Congrats you guys and keep on doing what you do best.

Cheers!
