Music is something close to our hearts, indeed it’s no secret that some AMP Visual personnel are performers as well as designers. It’s no accident, therefore, that a great many bands and artists have sought us out to design their logos, album sleeves, tour campaigns and merchandising: U2, The Script, Leonard Cohen, Depeche Mode, Dierks Bentley, Genesis, Phil Collins, Jonathan Jackson and Enation, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Tom Jones, Balcony TV and too many more to mention.
In a great many ways, an artist’s branding behaves in a similar fashion to other consumer brands but there are important differences, the first being – it’s personal! We are very conscious of the passion, commitment and hard work that go into a song, an album or a performance. We are also aware of the fact that we are dealing with fellow creatives so we ensure that it is a collaborative process. This is perhaps why projects turn into ongoing relationships, whether it’s an established artist like the late Leonard Cohen or a new band – like U2 were when they first came to us!
