As Tayto Park goes from strength to strength it’s fun trying to guess what will come next. In 2015 the most ambitious attraction yet was completed – The Cú Chulainn Roller Coaster. With a top speed of 90km/h this 1,092 metre ride carries up to 700 thrill-seekers per hour, making it Europe’s largest wooden roller coaster.
Our job was to create a brand, a character and a personality for the coaster. It would need to fit alongside the Tayto Park branding but have an identity of its own. AMP Visual developed the brand, designed the logo, coaster cars and social media presence. Perhaps the most exciting part for us, however, was designing the enormous 3D figures astride the entrance. We believe Cú Chulainn would have found it very flattering!
